The Perfect Slide
Now you know what not to get, let me tell you what to look for:
- Make sure that you go up and down from the same side. Usually a small wall separates the two parts. This means that
you dont need to be supervising in the back and the front.
- When the children are at the top of the slide make sure the walls that keep them there are at least 6 feet tall and if not
make sure it is roofed to stop the kids climbing the walls and falling from the top.
- Make sure the kids are forced to sit down and slide. A number of companies have a "forced sit down bar" which is very
good as it stops them from diving or flipping from the top.
- When they slide to the bottom be sure that they cannot fall onto the ground. A wall of some sort should be there for
rebound. Not a small barrier that can topple over but an inflatable wall.
